My hands smell like onions. Hm. I wonder what would be worse: having my hands smell like onions or garlic?

I recently introduced Tina to Pepper Lunch, Dave to Fantasia, and Bea to Chinese checkers. I'm so glad I had the chance to help y'all out - and that I saw Cathy, Des, Mo, Claudia, and Jess for even those fairly brief moments. Verde just calls out to all KDPhi ;)

Life has been throwing a few curveballs lately. My 99-year-old grandma was in the hospital for a few days, and it was a bit worrying. Of course she's old, but she's been around for so long - wouldn't it be nice to keep a few more constants in the world? But no, the only thing constant in this world is change. [Yes, so trite.] Feeling helpless just isn't very pleasant though. At least she's at home and in much better shape now. She's still in fairly amazing health for a woman born in 1905, with bound feet, no less.

And memories are inevitable when stepping into those sterile walls. It was so simple to remember the other time of regular visits to those exact same waiting rooms. I'm glad of not-forgetting, even as I am grateful for the softening of time. We stilll miss you.

The what-ifs are so tempting to contemplate.

"Shiver" -Maroon 5

you build me up
you knock me down
provoke a smile
and make me frown
you are the queen of runaround
you know it's true

you chew me up
and spit me out
enjoy the taste
i leave in your mouth
you look at me
i look at you
neither of us know what to do

there may not
be another way to your heart
so i guess i'd better find a new way in
i shiver when i hear your name
think about you, but it's not the same
i won't be satisfied ‘til i'm under your skin

immobilized by the thought of you
paralyzed by the sight of you
hypnotized by the words you say
not true but i believe ‘em anyway

so come to bed, it's getting late
there's no more time for us to waste
remember how my body tastes
you feel your heart begin to race

there may not
be another way to your heart
so i guess i'd better find a new way in
i shiver when i hear your name
think about you, but it's not the same
i won't be satisfied ‘til i'm under your skin

feel your heart begin to race...
