So there I am, watching Spider-man 2 with David and Karin at the Metreon, there are only about 15 minutes more of running time, __(name)__ is __(gerund verb)__ __(name)__ at the climax of the movie when -- SCREEECH -- the fire alarm goes off, the movie cuts out, and the audience is in shock. OH MY GOD. They DID NOT just do that. WHAT will happen?? What was going to be said?? NOOOOO!!! The evacuation of the building was accompanied by quotes such as, "I'd BETTER see some flames!"
But yes, we ended up watching the end after they restarted. Woohoo! And I agree with Ebert, definitely the best superhero movie I've ever seen. This may be because most superhero movies are crap [Batman & Robin, anyone? Daredevil? No? Good.], but it was just a great action movie anyway. Great special effects, and the dialogue was much improved over the last movie. I recommend it. Yes, go feed the Spider-man box office monster. :)
A light dinner at First Crush in SF before the showing was wonderful too. Mmm...seared ahi tuna and duck comfit. Magnificent! Thanks, David the Degenerate I-Banker, for treating the two unemployed people since I know you'll read this. Haha. Good times.
Also, I will be gone for a bit over a week after this Saturday. Family cruise from Houston to the west Caribbean - cheesily labeled "Texaribbean" by the cruise company. How cute. But yes, I am excited, and yes, you should be jealous. ;)
Yet once again, the Ha family will miss the Fourth of July at home. No fireworks, no friendly barbecues...sigh. I don't think our Planner of Vacations [aka Mommy] is particularly patriotic. Haha. Ah well. Miss me lots because that makes me feel loved. :)
Yes, it is a little odd that I decided to use correct capitalization in this entry, but it's my blog and I felt like it. Maybe I'm gradually becoming even more anal than before. You should have seen me relabeling everything in iTunes. =\ Uh-oh...I feel such pity for everyone if that is the case. :)
can you see me
floating above your head?
as you lay in bed
thinking about everything
that you did not do
'cause saying 'i love you'
has nothing to do with meaning it
and i don't trust you
'cause everytime you're here
your intentions are unclear
i spend every hour waiting for a phone call
that i know will never come
i used to think you were the one
now i'm sick of thinking anything at all
you ain't ever coming back to me
that's not how things were supposed to be
you take my hand just to give it back
no other lover has ever done that
do you remember
the way we used to melt?
do you remember how it felt
when i touched you? oh
'cause i remember it very well
and how long has it been
since someone you let in
has given what i gave to you?
and at night when you sleep
do you dream i would be there
just for a minute or two, do you?
