you know it's getting bad when your physics TA's right hand rule starts to look dirty...*sigh*

so i went to tahoe this past weekend. i drove a 15-passenger ford van all the way there and back. yes, hardcore! driving up mountains on steep, winding roads at night was definitely not the best time ever though. i got so tense, my muscles wanted to eat each other. "hey, look over the edge! if we fall over, there's no way we'd survive!" "you know, ford vans are known for tipping over." if i were an anime character, i would've sweatdropped after smacking my navigator silly. =) the cabin was so sweet though. good stuff. cool people. i really liked elisa's mix too! makes me wish i had caught the something corporate/julianna theory concert last week. ah well. she has good music taste ;-) hm...except for "comfortable" by john mayer though. makes me unhappy. not good for driving since it's also rather slow.

sometimes i find it fun to just babble on in this blog. it's probably not true, but blogging feels more private than xanga--like i'm digging a shallow little hole in the sand to hide away my thoughts. my words are hidden from the loud mouthy tourists, but accessible to those whom i want to find them and those who are interested in more than the surface. so hello to my loyal natives and curious treasure hunters. =)

bad mental image of the night: dave hsieh making out with scary staring man sitting in the corner of pho hua. ugh. thanks, bea. and you say you're not creepy.

"Hurricane" ~Something Corporate

shake down you make me break
for goodness sake
i think i'm on the edge
of something new with you
shout out don't drown the sound
i'll drown you out
you'll never scream so loud
as i want to scream with you

standing there with your smile blinding
your eyes from seeing
my face as i'm dying
to figure out a girl
but she drifts so far away
i'm on her coast
so maybe i should stay
and map around your world

so don't say
"these currents are still killing me"
and you can't explain
but the wind went and pulled me
into your hurricane

stand up don't make a sound
your ears might bleed
there are sweet fluorescent enemies
that live inside of me
the world moves faster than i knew
not fast enough to not creep up on you
and the space we put between
so pull me under your weather patterns
your cold fronts and the rain don't matter
because a sun burns what i needed

so don't say
"these currents are still killing me"
and you can't explain
but the wind went and pulled you
into the hurricane

you don't do it on purpose
but you make me shake
now i count the hours 'til you wake
with your babies breath
breathe symphonies
come on, sweet catastrophe
well maybe this time i can follow through
i can feel complete
stop paying dues
stop the rain from falling
keep my ocean calm
this time i know nothing's wrong

so don't say
"these currents are still killing me"
and you can't explain
but the wind went and pulled me in
and no, you don't say
"these currents are still killing me"
and you can't explain
but the wind went and pulled me
into your hurricane...
