all of a sudden, i feel isolated again. maybe it was because of being surrounded by so many friends this weekend and then coming back to this...
i'm sad i missed the meteor shower on sunday night--if only it were a friday or saturday night. alas, nature will not change itself to suit my wants. i remember they were so amazing last year. events like meteor showers make me want to have a boyfriend nearby. pull him out when it suits me, stick him back in his box afterward ;-) i guess i'm just a sucker for shiny lights in the night sky. i'm such a girl. eww. =P
i had an interesting phone conversation with good ol' howard the other night too. haha...it's entertaining to catch up with old buddies after a long while and catch glimpses into their lives. howard, you're such a PIMP. hahaha...and i still don't know why. ehehe...no offense, but i suppose that's what happens when you've known a person since sophomore year of high school.
i also nailed my interview yesterday--i've got a job lined up for the school year now! yay! the research sounds fascinating...now i just need to buckle down and hardcore time-manage next year. yet again, easier said than done. =) getting to the interview was an adventure though. they completely blocked off campus drive so i had to take a massive detour to get to the hospital. there was even more construction at the hospital, so it took forever to actually get into the parking structure. once i was inside, i was okay with time except i really had to use the bathroom. i tried four different bathrooms...two were locked and i suppose out of order except there was no sign to tell you it was out of order, one was overflowing with CRAP (and they would have done well to lock that door), so i waited five minutes for the last one. geez. old ladies take a freaking long time. i don't really want to know why.
and parking for just one hour in the hospital parking structure cost five bucks. $5! i'm a poor college student. =( at least i got a job out of it =)
