back from ucaa ski trip, i am. sweet cabin, many (asian) people, a ton of food, sleep, and lots of alcohol! haha...no, do not worry. i did not get drunk and do stupid shit. it was a very fun, chill weekend...bonded with some cool people--"sizzling nugget of passion!" hahaha =) played massive amounts of pool and big two (revolution!), and i decided that i like smirnoff ice a lot-- even though it's supposedly the "girliest" drink possible. well screw you =P hehe. all in all, i'm very glad it turned out well! hm...except for the slight couple hundred dollars of debt thing. we'll see what i can work out with the budget *pushes up sleeves*. and...now i'm screwed. no work was done up in tahoe, of course. and i had a meeting tonight...and three meetings tomorrow night. the part of me that loves sleep is in mourning.
"men are like parking spaces--all the good ones are taken and all the rest are handicapped." this is oh-so-true, especially at stanford. ah well, i've got bigger fish to fry, more things to do, etc. and you know how people say males are so much more immature than females? i think i would agree with this statement to some degree. i'm not going to generalize and say that all guys my age are immature, but i can definitely see how some would be. a lot of guys come into college with the idea that their college years are their playtime, meaning it's their time to fool around and have fun and not tie themselves down with a girlfriend or something. i can totally understand that, but many girls enter college expecting to meet their "forever" man and get married. this obviously creates a conflict of interest, no? so it is understandable why some would say females are more mature than males because the guys are still playing while the girls want a steady relationship. i say give it time. we're young yet! no need to rush things =) eventually those guys will grow up and want a steady relationship and things will work out. and there are guys my age who want steady relationships and are great people...many of them just seem to be taken. "or handicapped" =D
ooh! i randomly ran into stan lin tonight on the way back from my meeting...haven't seen him in forever =) and i dropped in on oliver and julian since they were on the way. did you know there's an energy drink being marketed right now called "rockstar"? it's slogan: "party like a rock star." hahaha...this thing is hilarious. it supposedly contains a "liver healing herb" called milk thistle or some crap, but the fine print admits that although "scientific evidence" supports this, the fda has not approved it yet. yummy! haha. i'm amused. back to work now =)
