"You just pick the right one to be in the foxhole with; and when you're out of the foxhole, you keep your dick in your pants." -Dan Foreman, In Good Company
Really, how much simpler can it get? ;)
Three-day weekend was nice and chill. Had dinner with Deb, David, and Shirley. I would like to advise any and all to NOT order the beef stew rice dish at Pho Saigon in Fremont. About half that stew was orange oil. Blech. Won a few games of pool afterward - yay! And Ha King Yang kicked butt at PhotoMatch :) Then I embarrassed myself in front of Deb and David at Karaoke Revolution. All right!
Saw the aforementioned In Good Company with Howard the other day too. Pretty entertaining. I'm developing a bit of a partiality for Topher Grace. He's so endearingly awkward yet charismatic.
Recent cooking ventures include chicken breast in sun-dried tomato cream sauce over fettucini and teriyaki-style chicken. The latter was ah...a bit too sweet since i misread 5 teaspoons of honey as 5 tablespoons. Goddamnit. I was wondering how I was going through the little honeybear so quickly.
I have nothing entertaining to say. Well, I did have a dream the other night that Howard was put on trial for drunk & disorderly conduct by a horribly short, fobby waiter. "He was ah...too much drink!" Haha...good times.
Still need to use up over a pint of whipping cream. Thanks for leaving me with that, Amanda. Bah. Maybe I should just chug that shit since I have to regain the weight I lost when I was sick. YUM.
I'm sad that I have to wait three more weeks to go down to LA. Boo.
This has been another disjointed message from Christina.
"Polaris" -Jimmy Eat World
I'll say it straight and plain
I know I've made mistakes
I've always been afraid
I've always been afraid
A thousand nights or more
I travel east and north
Please answer the door
Can you tell me
You say that love goes anywhere
In your darkest time, it's just enough to know it's there
When you go, I'll let you be
But you're killing everything in me
Get down on your knees
Whisper what I need
Something pretty
Something pretty
I feel that when I'm old
I'll look at you and know
The world was beautiful
Then you tell me...
You say that love goes anywhere
In your darkest time, it's just enough to know it's there
When you go, I'll let you be
But you're killing everything in me
I'm done, there's nothing left to show
I try but can't let it go
Are you happy where you're standing still?
Do you really want the sugar pill?
I'll wake up tomorrow and I'll start
Tonight it feels so hard
As the train approaches Gare Du Nord
As I'm sure your kiss remains employed
Am I only dreaming?
You say that love goes anywhere
In your darkest time, it's just enough to know it's there
When you go, I'll let you be
But you're killing everything in me
