Buttercup

Which Princess Bride Character are You?

you know, i've always worked from the perspective that being open and honest from the start would be the best way to conduct all relationships (friendship and otherwise)--but sometimes you discover a little too much a little too quickly.

no matter how i joke, i really am very naive about certain things--"wait, what? people i know actually want to do that?" oh well. that's growing up.

when you get down to it--deep, deep down--i'm just a stupid romantic at heart. so i don't know if the offer's enough. the road doesn't seem to be going anywhere--and the scenery might not be to my taste anymore either. or maybe i'm speaking too soon?

by the way, "the rules of attraction" was a crappyass movie. don't see it if you like your movies to have a point or a plotline. =)

"before you" ~chantal kreviazuk

that would be such a cute i'm-in-love-now song. "ever since i met you on a cloudy monday / i can't believe how much i love the rain..." awww. it'd be cute to feel that way someday =)

and once you're with that special someone, the sexiest sweet/laidback/take-your-time song: "your body is a wonderland" ~john mayer

you tell me where to go and
though i might leave to find it
i'll never let your head hit the bed
without my hand behind it

mmm. hey, where'd my cynicism go? must be because i had enough sleep =P

or because i just bought some sexy underwear ;-) (it was one of those buy two get two free things...had to help bea out!)

i'm sorry, chi =( i'm just so s-m-r-t. =P

i love my sister. =) i'm so proud of how you're growing up--just gain a little more patience for home now, y'hear? miss you, meimei.

i am sick. i stayed in bed the whole day. my most awesome roommate, bea kim, called sharon brauman for me since i had to miss chem 130 lab and wrote this to my physics TA:

Dear _________,
One of your students in Physics 22, Christina Ha, is my roommate. She is extremely sick and has been for the past 2 days. There is a lab due today at noon but despite many protests, I have forced her to sleep and am writing you in plea that you will be understanding. Is it possible for her to finish writing up the lab sometime tomorrow and dropping it off later without penalty? She has a quarter of it left to do but she is too sick to finish. Her sickness is compounded by her lack of sleep and poor eating schedule (of late). Christina is a responsible student and if it wasn't for me insisting she sleep instead of finishing her lab, I assure you it would be done, despite it possibly making her even sicker! But in hopes of her quick recovery, I ask for her extension. Thank you for your time in reading this letter.
--Beatrice Kim

hahaah..it makes me sound like some insane academic martyr or something. "must...finish lab...must go to class and infect hundreds of other students...must kill myself in lab..." no, i am not on my deathbed, but bea does make it sound rather dramatic, no? them poetry-writing english minors. hehe. seriously though, bea is the best roomie in the world. she brought me soup and lunch and dinner and orange juice today and made me sleep (although for dinner, she tried to make me drink orange juice that had been sitting in a cup for over 7 hours...). i lubba yooo!

had a really strange dream this afternoon too--must be my already odd subconscious compounded by sickness. it involved senior christina and real world auditions and a fat roommate and ballet lessons and an old woman in blue fleece and jarvis and a plie-ing grace. also, the fat roommate was doing ballet with one foot pointed in and one pointed out the entire time. someone analyze that sucker for me.

oh, and the o.j. is still sitting on my desk. =)

yup i made it home to fremont after yummy pho with willow =) what a lovely, lovely girl. unfortunately, my mom and brandon weren't home when i reached fremont =( cold welcome. ah well. they came home eventually. i have brandon's new soccer pictures and i ate some good old random junky food. tomato pretz! yes! stan came by with "princess d" on vcd too--pretty good movie. and yes, it was sort of emotional, stan ;-) i just wasn't too satisfied with the ending. yay for cute young hk actors! daniel wu: mmm. and dude, ling does look like edison a lot of the time!

and just now, i had so much fun talking with shirley! such a cool gal. i love reconnecting with old friends...and shirley and i have some very similar college experiences =) "this is a crazily small world" so true. sometimes i think the world is getting smaller and smaller--and i'm getting more claustrophobic. yet i think anonymity would be lonely.

in any case, girl, we need to party together and if you ever need to be hooked up, i will work with what limited resources i possess... ;-)
