Really bad with this consistent blogging thing. But here's another shot. Let's start it with the best movie poster ever. Hahaha. Gotta love that.
So I went camping and whitewater rafting on the American River with Yeung and his friends over Memorial weekend. I would call the weekend a camping improvement for me since I was only severely bitten by a mosquito once - in comparison to like 20 billion times last time. Okay, maybe it was only 20. But those still itched like bitches. I don't really know how much bitches actually itch, so let's not take that too literally. Took quite a few days to wash all that smoke smell off. Good times. :) Maybe I'll have some cool action rafting pictures to post later. I know you're so very anxious to see those. Patience, dears. Too bad there weren't any shots of us in our rental wetsuits. We looked like demented storm troopers with a 70s fashion sense for color. Tracy and I looked hot in our Barney suits. Yeung looked retarded, of course :D
Oh, so it's time to share another embarrassing Christina moment. I had partially rolled down both windows in my Solara one day. You know, to try to pick up chicks or high school boys and all. I'm such a player. Yes. Anyway, as I pressed the buttons to roll up both windows, the passenger-side window wouldn't close. I tried the button on that side of the car, but nothing. Crap. More button-mashing resulted in only frustration for me. Then I thought it might be similar to the time I was driving my friend's Camry and the passenger-side window also stuck because the whole window-regulator-thingie (So I don't know much car terminology. Sue me.) broke and had to be replaced. Resigned to that fate, I took the car in to the dealership owned by some family friends, along with my mom's car that needed its wheels aligned. (Sorry to Yeung for making him run boring errands like that with me the one full day he was home. =P) Yeung and I wandered around and pretty much did nothing for half the day until my family friend called me.
"Hey, Christina, uh...there was nothing wrong with your car."
"What do you mean? What about the window?"
"You had the child lock on."
Oh. Heh heh...I'm such a genius. But I didn't know there was a child lock in my car! And really, why the hell do you need a child lock for a two-door car? And the driver-side button doesn't even work when the child lock is on! Ridiculously impractical! Yeah. That's what I like to tell myself. And Yeung stopped laughing at me. Eventually.
By the way, a big thank you to Alex for giving me all that cool new music! I've been too lazy and cheap to get my own lately. Yay for Aqualung, Cary Brothers, Jem, Joshua Radin, new Coldplay, and rare Dido! Alex has great indie taste. His mainstream pop taste though...I'm still not very inclined toward about more than half of the Gwen Stefani album. Haha. Also, I still think Rob Thomas is trying to pull an Enrique in "Lonely No More." And I don't think there's ever been a whiter man than Rob Thomas.

And you think you're alone as if I wasn't there
You're losing your faith in me
It's a car, it's a crash, it's a death, and you're scared
You just can't escape the scene
Hush now, you're insane
Touch my skin, come back again
The sky is falling
It's something you cannot fake
This something you will not shake
Just walk away before I look at you
It's something only you can take
All your words, it's a lie to yourself, it's a home
There's so much that you can't see
It's a bomb that can kill everyone, and it blows
You can't even hear me scream
Hush now, you're insane
Touch my skin, come back again
The sky is falling
It's something you cannot fake
This something you will not shake
Just walk away before I look at you
It's something only you can take
This is only feeling with no thought
Is this love?
What happened to the promises I bought?
Is this love?
It's something you cannot fake
This something you will not shake
Just walk away before I look at you
It's something only you can take
